Unique Coffee Blends for
People with Unique Taste

Everyone has a favorite way to prepare coffee, but sometimes it is fun to experiment
and try something new.  You never know, you just might find a new favorite.

Here are some different recipes to try.

½ liter (1 pint) water
3 tbsp coffee
3 tbsp (or more) sugar
¼ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp cardamom
1 tsp vanilla or vanilla sugar

Mix all ingredients in a saucepan and heat until foam gathers on top.  Do not pass
through filter.  Stir it up before serving.

6 oz fresh brewed coffee
2 tbsp chocolate syrup
1 tbsp Maraschino cherry juice
Whipped cream
Shaved chocolate
Maraschino cherries

Combine coffee, chocolate syrup and cherry juice in a cup: mix well.
Top with whipped cream, chocolate shavings and a cherry.

4 tbs ground coffee (fine)
1/2 tsp grated orange peel, dried
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 inch piece of vanilla bean
1/8 tsp ground cloves

Blend ingredients well. Brew by your usual method.

Serves 4

Whipped cream is part of the drink, not just the topping.

1 cup heavy cream, chilled
1/4 cup confectioners sugar
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups coffee, hot

Beat cream until rich and fluffy, with soft peaks. Then mix in the sugar, and continue
to beat until you have stiff peaks. Split whipped cream between 4 mugs. Add vanilla
to the hot coffee, pour into mugs over cream.
Serve right away, and do not stir.

Serves 4

Cubans have been serving “café con leche” for decades down in Miami.

1 cup strong dark roast gourmet coffee or espresso
1 cup hot milk

This traditional Spanish and French drink is prepared by simultaneously pouring
equal amounts of hot, strong dark roast coffee and hot milk into a large cup. The milk
can either be heated in the microwave or stove top. The Cuban version is actually
prepared with a cup of hot milk and a shot of Cuban coffee poured into it. Sugar is a
must to fully appreciate this drink.

Makes 2 servings.

3 cups Hot Strong Coffee
6 tbsp molasses
6 tbsp Dark Rum (if desired)
Whipped cream
Nutmeg (freshly ground)

Combine coffee and molasses in a saucepan.  Heat, stirring until molasses is
dissolved and coffee is very hot.  Do not allow to boil.  If desired, put 1 tbsp rum in
each mug.  Add coffee.  Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with nutmeg.  Do not
stir before drinking.

8 cups hot coffee
1 cup dark rum
¾ cup sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
12 cloves (whole)

In a very large saucepan, combine all ingredients, cover and keep on low heat about
2 hours.  Serve in coffee mugs.

3 cups very hot decaffeinated coffee
2 tbsp sugar
¼ cup rum light or dark

Combine very hot coffee, sugar and rum in a heated pot.

Makes 4-6 demitasse. Double as needed.

1 cup hot coffee
8 oz milk
1 oz vanilla syrup or extract
1/8 tsp of each: cinnamon, sugar, allspice, cloves

In the bottom of your mug, mix the spices and vanilla. Fill halfway with hot coffee,
then the other half with warm milk.
