Shade grown 100% certified organic coffee beans including green coffee. Some people have asked us how we keep our prices so low. There are really two reasons our coffee price is one of the best on the net. First, we have done everything we can to keep our overhead low. Secondly, and most importantly is our belief that the only way Organic Coffee and Organics in general are going to become more mainstream is if retailers would only stop charging a premium for their organic coffee and other goods. Yes it's true that coffee and other organic produce cost a bit more to produce. In most cases the farmer may get a few cents more while the retailers get a few dollars more. In most cases organics should not cost that much more than other items, but they do and it's slowing the organic movement down. So in short we pay a fair price for our organic coffee to the farmers, then we charge a fair price to you. It's a win, win, for you, for me, for the farmers, and the whole organic movement! All the coffee is 100% certified organic. It is also bird friendly and shade grown. Purchased from small independent farmer co-operatives, the beans have been hand picked and the farmers have been paid far more for their product than they would have been paid if sold to the local Wolves (coffee brokers). In addition, Stonehil Manor Coffee is one of the very few, Certified Organic Coffee Processor. That means every single step in the production of our coffee and the operation of our facility has been certified to organic standards, right down to the products we use to clean the floors. | Taste. Simply put, organically grown coffee tastes better. Organic farming practices allow the coffee to draw the natural nutrients from the soil and the only additional fertilizer used are those naturally produced by Mother Nature herself. The Environment. Don't get me started on this subject! Suffice to say that the chemical fertilizers and pesticides are harmful to the environment and all things living in it (like you!). By choosing to purchase Stonehill Manor Coffee you have helped, if even in this small way, to make things better for all of us and for that we are sincerely grateful. |
